About The Role

An Apprenticeship with Richter offers you an exciting opportunity to jump straight into the professional world and earn a living whilst also studying for professional qualifications. It enables you to practically apply the theory you are learning during your qualifications.

As an Apprentice Engineer you will be exposed to a variety of design projects across infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of design challenges, contributing to their solution by providing designs and associated calculations under the direction of others.

Technical experience is key in our industry which is why we will provide you with a clear framework to work towards chartership and continuous career development.  You will work alongside highly experienced design engineers who will provide support to help you achieve your goals.

This role is based in our Marlow office. 

About You

Are you someone who has:

  • A good level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for problem solving.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • An interest in using computers for drawing and modelling.

If so, then this is a Level 6 Apprenticeship, which means that on its completion you will have 5 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.

The Apprenticeship course entry requirements are as follows:

  • A Level BBC - Must include Mathematics and a Science preferably Physics otherwise Chemistry.
  • T-level (Merit or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying And Planning.
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DDM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and advanced Mathematics.
  • Civil Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship DD (UCAS points: 96) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA
  • Have gained a minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications grades A-C (reformed grade 4-9) Including Maths and English.

Eligibility:

An apprenticeship starting from 1 August 2021 are subject to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (EFSA) Apprenticeship Funding Rules. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you must meet the eligibility requirements in pace at the time, including:

  • Be a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years prior to starting the course and have the right to work in the UK.
  • 18 years old and have left full time education when the apprenticeship starts.
